The Action Program is a team effort between vehicle manufacturers, retailers and customers. Just as environmental extremists have learned there is strength in numbers, so have we. A well-funded legislative and public relations movement on our part will save public land access and, in the long run, save our industry.

Where will we be in five years, or ten? If we do nothing, we will be worse off than we are now. Land closures are happening every month, and there are more slated for the future. We can stem the tide and encourage sane stewardship of our open land. But we can only do this if we band together.

The goal of the Action Program is to forge this partnership now, before it's too late. The benefits to all of us are increase representation in local and federal legislatures, improved public awareness, and ultimately continued access to public land.

The threat is very real. If you do not think this is a war, you are wrong. When the fighting is all over, there will be a winner and a loser. Right now, we are looking like losers. How much public land must close before customers learn there is no place left to go? How long will it take at the present rate of closures, before we reach that point? That is how long our industry has to live.

We can do something about it, and we are. It's called the Action Program, a movement on a national scale. The range of the Action Program is unprecedented: manufacturers, retailers, customers, activists, lobbyists, legislators, and more, are all drawing together to defend the simple right to visit a piece of land whenever they wish.

By joining the Action Program, you are becoming an integral part of this national movement. You will be linked into national advertising campaign and will be recognized for your commitment to keeping our public lands free.
